Grandmother and Grandfather Day at School With Jordan

Jordan's class had a Grandparents day. JG and I attended. This is Jordan's teacher. I cannot imigine anyone wanting to spend everyday with 15 to 20 4 year olds, but she had them towing the line. It was great.
Jordan eating Cookies Jordan and JG having cookies and a drink.
Look at Jordan's eyes. He is egar to please and eager to learn.
Jordan sitting in the circle singing and entertaining the grandparents.

Jordan was the most polite and best child in the class. If all were like him the teacher would not have very many problems.
Outside the classroom they have a picture of everyone in the class. Jordan is showing me his picture.

JG is reading Jordan a book. I listened also and enjoyed it. We read Humpty Dumpty and and a Dr. Seuss book. I really liked the Dr Seuss book.
Most if the time it was just JG and Jordan. Jordan loved having books read to him. He did not want to quit. I think he would sit and listen all day.

Jordan is making a handpring with a poem for us. He wanted to make it in red but there was not any red so he made it in blue.

Grand Children at Dog Park

Sarah called us from the doctors office. She has strep throat and feels really rotton. She did not get any sleep last night and was really sick. JG and I volunteered to have the children come to our house so she could get some sleep and maybe get well. JG picked them up while I worked on the pantry shelf project. When they can home, I put my stuff up and played with the Grandchildren.
Grandchildren at the Dog Park.
Jordan wanted to walk one of the dogs. Aleia wasn't interested in going to the park yet.
Now she is ready to go. We have to dogs trained not to pull on the leash. All children can walk the dogs now.
Salem wanted to walk Lady. Lady is Salem's favoriate dog.

Maybe we need three dogs. Jude did not have a dog to walk. He stayed close to Lady though. He was happy just walking with the dogs.
In the Dog Park. The children were running around the park as much as the dogs were. They had fun.

Salem, Jordan and Jude walked around the park wanting to pet all the dogs. We told them they had to ask permission from the owners before petting their dogs.
The three were looking around everywhere. They were not interested in setting with BoomPa.
They finally found a dog to pet. They asked before petting then all three petted the dog.
Being cautious was the name of the game. They were really good waiting for the dog to be ready to be petted.

Salem loved throwing a ball for the dogs to bring back.

Jude never quit running. He would pet a dog then run to BoomPa or JG, then run to find another dog to pet.
Jordan wanted me to take his picture. He wanted to pose.
This was his rap dance pose.

Jordan's strong man pose.

Jordan's Kung Fu Pose.
Jordan ran out of poses so he tried this one. He didn't know what it was either but he liked it.
One thing about Jordan's poses is he will always have another one until he is told it is time for something else. He then goes back to playing with the dogs.
Jude ran and ran. I couldn't believe he ran so far. I'll bet he sleeps good tonight.
All three kids ran from one end of the park to the other. If I walked that far I would be exhausted. Somehow they seem to have enough energy to do more.
Run, Run, Run. They ran more than the dogs.
Salem, Jordan and Jude followed Lady all over the park.
Our dogs enjoyed the children. Lady and Aleia don't usually run this much. They had lots of fun too.
Run, run, run. Run run, Run. What else if there to say.

We all had so much fun at the park. Everyone wants to go again tomorrow, even the dogs.
Does this little guy ever stop.
We left the park close to 8 PM. Went home and JG gave each one a bath. Jude was first and after his bath I layed him down for the night. He was asleep within 20 seconds. Sound asleep. Next was Jordan. After his bath he layed down and went to sleep in less than 2 minutes. A record time for them around here. Salem is still in the bath but I'll bet she goes to sleep just as fast. For me, I will sit in my chair in the room with the grandchildren and sleep too. I am tired. I always stay in the same room with them when they spend the night.
JG and I love our grandchildren.

ROCKS

On the West side of our house, grass will not grow because of the trees and the slope of the land. Every time it rained a more dirt washed away and ditches got deeper. About year ago I got a few rocks and placed them from the property line to about 3 feet up the hill. These rocks stopped the washing and loosing of dirt but the area between the rocks and the driveway still could not grow grass and really looked bad. My friends Coy and Lora harvested some rocks from his acerage in Eastern Oklahoma. He loaded them into his trailer and sent me home with lots of rocks. Within 24 hours I had the rocks unloaded and placed on the ground. I moved some of the old rocks so the different rocks would not be so noticable. I completed the rock placement last night about 9:30 PM. I was very hot and tired but I thought it looked good.

I got up this morning and looked again and was very happy with the way the rocks looked. It not only looks great but it will stop the washing away of the dirt.

When parking on the West side of the driveway and got out of the car, it was quite a drop from the edge of the driveway and the dirt. Looked ugly too. Now when youo get out of a car on the edge of the drive the rocks, which are really solid, will give you a place to stand. Will not get muddy in the rain.

Thanks to Coy and Lora the dirty old wash out is now looking good.

What A Place

Stepping into the Garage the thing that catches your attention is the party boat. It is a very large and pretty party boat.

A four wheeler. Very large and looks like it would go very fast. Four wheel drive.

This is the small lawn mower. I say small because he has another one, Bad Boy brand that is very big.

Out in his garage playing. Everyone is out in the garage.

A wood burner heater. Coy said this heater heats the garage during the coldest winter days. If they open the house door it heats up the house too.

Inside of the Party Boat. The chairs are actually recliners. Confortable.

Instrument console. I guess you have to be a skipper to know what everything is.

There is a satilite radio that sounds great.

Looking down from the party boat. It is really big. It was so high I was afraid to stand near the edge.

This window is to another bedroom upstairs. I would like a window in every room, I don't care what it looks like.

We drove around the lake. It is larger than I thought. Coy said the water was clear. This is a great scuba diving lake.

Lake Tinkiller

Dam, the Dam......

The lake is at least 28 miles long and about 1 mile wide for the entire 28 miles. A nice lake.

We drove around part of the lake. We didn't go around the lake, it would take too long so we just drove a small part of it.

Everywhere you look there is water. Water water everywhere but not a drop to drink.

13,000 acres of clear water and 130 miles of shore line. What a lake. 10 marinas and 20 parks.

This is a view from a home built on the side of a mountain . The lake looks like a great river.

There were boats everywhere. Not one part of the lake didn't have at least one boat and most had 5 or more.

This is just one of the boat loading areas. Every one there is no additional parking. The lake is full every weekend.

This is the best lake in the State Of Oklahoma. This is my first time to see Tinkiller Lake.

Below the dam is the best Trout fishing in the State. The water is cool enough they can fish for trout most year round.

Next time I come down I will bring my fishing pole. It is one of the best fishing lakes in Oklahoma.

There are homes for sale in view of the lake. I inquired about one of these homes and it was over $300,000 dollars. No place to park. Just a nice house on less than a lot.

People everywhere on the lake. Lots of boats. I bet the beer is cold too.

Coy and Lora. We were inside a home being built with a wonderful view.

An island that is only accessable by boat. There are several islands on this lake. Looks more like a river than a lake.

The big Bad Boy mower. He can mow an acre in about 30 minutes. It cuts a 60" wide cut each round. If you don't like spending lots of time this is what you need to mow a lawn.

The Ranger vehlicle. I drove this around the property to see what everything looked like. If you live on an acerage you need one of these to haul things around

Benita and I are coming back in 4 or 5 weeks and will float the river. I have always heard of this trip but have never got to go on it myself. We are also wanting to come back when it is cooler to go out on Coy's boat. Wow, what a wonderful place.
