Fence me in please.

We are going to let Lady stay in house with us. She is crate trained and house trained. We are walking her outside several times every day. BoomPa gets up every morning at 5:15 AM and walk her two miles. It does me good and she loves it. JG walks her shorter walks but 4 to 6 times a day between 8 AM and 5 Pm. We try to take her to the dog park every other day so she can run and play, which she does. Our back yard was not dog proof so we started building a new stockade fence where the old fence was destroyed and repairing the other fences where it needs repairing.

Lady stays in our front yard when we let her off the leash, but we do have to stay outside with her. She wants to stay outside much longer them either of us have time, so the fence was mandatory. Sunday I completed the first section; Monday we purchased more lumber to start on the other side of the house. We want both sides of the front to match.

I think the fence is really pretty. The fence makes the house look better. I hope to have the other side done before Saturday. Maybe I will show a before and after picture of that side.

I don't have as much fun as my daugher, but I do something every day.

Lady

My daughter started blogging and I have really enjoyed reading what she is doing. She lives 1,500 miles away so this is one of the best things she does to let me know what she is doing each day.

I do not do interesting things like my daughter. JG and I decided we wanted to get a dog. We discussed what each of us wanted in a dog and JG shopped on the internet for weeks and finally found some dogs that were what we wanted. We went to the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter and started looking for the dog she found on the internet. The first room, in the first row, there she was. She was setting in the cage and when we came close she came up to the door of the cage and look at us asking us to take her home. We took her to a visiting room and she acted very independent but seemed to have good maners. I sat with the dog while JG made the arrangements for the adoption. It only took about 15 minutes and now had a new member of the family. Lady is what we called her,
